EMMA LESLIE

As well as running the school, Emma has her own practice as a designer and maker at www.emmaleslie.co.uk.  She studied Fine Woodwork at the Building Crafts college where she was awarded a medal of excellence from City and Guilds. She has since been awarded the annual Livery Company Prize from the Carpenters Company, is a national winner of the Carpenters Craft Competition and winner of the Wood Awards' Peoples Prize. Emma has previously taught furniture making at the Building Crafts College and London Metropolitan University and as well as running workshops at The Design Museum and The Institute of Making.

Before training as a furniture maker, Emma's background was in fine art and film making. 

ALEX BOYD

Alex studied Fine Woodwork at the Building Crafts College, London. He works alongside Emma as a designer maker and is a fountain of furniture making knowledge.
