Organise Your Timber Anglepoise Lamp Making Workshop
Spend four creative hours in the workshop crafting a beautifully engineered timber Anglepoise lamp, an elegant, adjustable light that combines fine woodworking with simple mechanics.
Under expert guidance, your group will work with solid hardwood to create the lamp’s arms and joints, shaping each part before assembling the adjustable mechanism and fitting the lamp components. You’ll learn how timber movement, joint geometry, and tensioning hardware work together to create smooth, controlled motion.
This bespoke workshop can be adapted for all experience levels, from complete beginners to returning makers wanting a more technical project. Each step is clearly explained in a relaxed and supportive environment, ensuring everyone completes their own working lamp by the end of the session.
All materials, fixings, and tools are provided for use during the event.
A note on booking events:
- Minimum 5 students - Maximum 14 students
- For groups larger than 8 we run the course in a venue that can also provide food and drink to order at your own expense. The per person cost is higher than for small groups due to venue and staffing costs.
- For groups of 8 or less, we run the course in our workshop, and refreshments can be ordered if needed from numerous local restaurants at your own expense.
