This course will teach students how to make a traditionally crafted solid maple stool with woven danish cord seat.

Duration: 6 consecutive Saturdays

Hours: 10 - 5

The course will cover:

• Marking and cutting mortice and tenon joints.

• Using a domino machine.

• Tapering the legs with a hand plane.

• Rounding over the rails using a router.

• Assembly, glueing and clamping up the frame.

• Applying a finish to protect the surface and enhance the grain.

• Weaving the seat with danish paper cord.

All materials and tools will be provided for your use while on the course.

This course is suitable for all levels, including beginners.
